Flintstone
Written: February 21, 1877

1877 deed for house on Horseshoe Lane situated across Flintstone Creek from 
the Kyle house.

At the request of Eli W. Ash  James Ash
This Deed was rendered Feby 21 1877@12?
This Deed, was made this 20 day of Feby in the year of our Lord, one thousand 
eight hundred, seventy seven, by Levi H Hamilton and Melvina Nina Hamilton, 
his wife, of Allegany County, State of Md., Whitworth?, that
for and in Consideration of the sum of five hundred and sixty five? dollars to 
them cash in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath 
granted and by these presenters doth grant unto Eli W. Ash and James Ask, 
their heirs & asigns all that or parcel of ground situated in the village of 
Flintstone allegany County, Maryland, Beginning for the same at the limits of 
the Turnpike road South 5844 reg? east 221 feet from the east? front? ground? 
of the Stone house of Eli W Ash & son and running thence south 28 1/4 reg? 
West 133 feet more or less south 58 14 due east 80 feet North 28 1/4 dege? 
east to the turnpike road then with the limits of said road to the beginning 
together with all and surigulaw?, the rights and privleges to al the 
improvements, therunto belonging or in anywise appertaining. Except the right 
to sell or keep for sale any spirituous or fermented liquorss, by the said Eli 
W. Ash & James Ash their heirs and assigns to have and to hold the above 
granted premises ot the said Eli W As. and James Ash their heirs and assings 
to them and their use and behalf forever in fee simple, and that we forever 
defend the same to the said Eli W. Ash and James Ash, against the lawful 
claims and demands of all person. In testimony whereof we the said Levi H. 
Hamilton and Melvina Hamilton, his wife, in token of any release of all right 
and title of in and, do dower in the above granted promise have hereunto set 
our hands and seals the day year first above written.

I hereby certify that on this 29th day of Feby 1877, personally appeared Levi

to be their respective acts, acknowledge before the subscribed Justice of the 
Peace in and for said county
