Devlin, 80, died yesterday at his home on High Street. He was a son of the late Henry and Annie (Woods) Devlin. His wife, Mrs. Nannie (Simmons) Devlin, preceded him in death. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the church's Holy Name Society and the United Mine Workers of America. He is survived by six sons, Henry Devlin, Pittsburgh; William, Thomas and Ignatius, all of Lonaconing; John Devlin, Newark, Ohio, and Joseph Devlin, Cumberland; four daughters, Mrs. Claude Steele, Lonaconing Mrs. Richard Goldsworthy, Frostburg; Mrs. James Brown and Miss Anna Devlin, both of Lonaconing two brothers, John Devlin, Midland, and Bernard Devlin, Pittsburgh; a sister, Sister Mary Lenorta (sic) Philadelphia; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A requiem mass will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church by Rev. Charles W. Bogan, pastor. Interment will be in the parish cemetery."
