Funeral services for James Footen, aged 45, husband of Margaret Footen, who 
was found dead in the Potomac River near the Cumberland and Pennsylvania 
Railroad bridge between Piedmont and Westernport, early Monday morning were 
held at his home, on Hammond Street, Westernport. Wednesday afternoon with 
interment in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.  Rev. C. K. Welch, pastor of the 
United Brethran Church, officiated.
