ASA J. FRESH
Asa Jerome Fresh, 79, formerly of the Mexico Farms area, died this morning in 
the Kyle Nursing Home in Lonaconing, where he was admitted last November.  He 
had been in failing health for three months.  Born in New German, he was a son 
of the late Jacob and Anna (Otto) Fresh.  A retired farmer, he held membership 
in New Germany United Church of Christ and had been active in Davis Memorial 
Methodist Church also.   His wife, Mrs. Rella (Murphy) Fresh, died December 3. 
Surviving are two sons, Hubert H. Fresh, Frostburg, and Allen R. Fresh, this 
city;  three daughters; Mrs. Kenneth Plummer, Buckhannon, W. Va.;  Mrs. Robert 
Lacy, city, and Mrs. Okey Michael, Westernport, nine grandchildren and two 
great-grandchildren.  The body is at the John J. Hafer Chapel of the Hills 
Mortuary, U.S. Route 40 and Winchester Road, where services will be conducted 
Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. Warren Bates will officiate and interment will be in 
New Germany United Church of Christ Cemetery.
