"The Piedmont Herald" Piedmont, West Virginia, Fri 28 Feb 1919: "
Mrs. Mary J. Gilmore, widow of the late James { sic-should be John } P. 
Gilmore, died Saturday morning at the Gilmore Hotel on Ashfield Street, 
aged 76 years. Mrs. Gilmore was born in County Galway, Ireland, but came 
to this country when a child. She is survived by four daughters and one 
son, Miss Mamie Gilmore, Mrs. D. J. Moran, Mrs. George Cleaver, all of 
this place, Mrs. W. H. Greenway, Pittsburg, and T. J. Gilmore, 
Cumberland, Mrs. James Laffey, of Second Street, is a sister. The 
funeral was held Monday from St. Peter's, Rev. Father Brennan 
officiating."
