"The Piedmont Herald" Piedmont, West Virginia, 15 Oct 1897: 
"Mrs. Winifred Lannon died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. 
John Griffin, in Westernport October 8, 1897. Death was due 
to a ruptured blood vessel in her head. She was about 74 
years of age. Her funeral took place Sunday from the Catholic 
church."
