"The Cumberland Times" Cumberland, Maryland, Sun 16 Nov 1969: "FROSTBURG - Michael J. Manley, 72, of 10 Blair Street, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital following an illness of several years. Born in Midland, he was a son of the late William and Catherine (Langan) Manley. Mr. Manley was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Union Mine Workers Local, Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sarah (McAteer) Manley; two sisters, Miss Margaret Manley and Mrs. Catherine Loraw, (sic-should be LaRue) both of Midland; one brother, John F. Manley, Frostburg, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body is at the Hafer- Sowers Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A requiem mass will be celebrated Tuesday (November 18, 1969) at 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael's Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The Eagles will conduct a service today at 7 p.m. at the funeral home and a Christian wake service will follow at 7:30 p.m." MANLEY, Michael J.
