"The Herald" Piedmont, West Virginia, Fri 28 Jun 1895: 
"Mr. Owen McPartland, aged about 40 years, was killed at Douglas mine, on the W. 
Va. Central, last Saturday. Funeral from St. Peter's Catholic church Monday." 

NOTE: Owen was the son of Michael McPartland and Mary Casey McPartland.
