Cumberland Evening Times (Maryland) November 26, 1937
Mrs. Lewis W. Mowry-
   Mrs. Margaret Lafferty Mowry, 84, died early this morning at her home, 
Buffalo Mills, Bedford county, Pa., after a lingering illness.  She was born 
near West End and lived in that section all her life.  Besides her husband, 
Lewis W. Mowry, she leaves eleven children, Mrs. Jacob C. Turner, Cumberland; 
Mrs. Walter Bradigan and William Mowry, Somerset, Pa., Mrs. Hallie Miller, 
Indiana, Pa., Mrs Clyde Cook and John Mowry, Johnstown, Pa.; Glenn Mowry, 
Detroit; Clay Mowry, Smith's Crossing, Pa., Harry Mowry, Glen Savage Pa., and 
Mrs. Roy Holler and Ray Mowry at home.  She was the mother of 13 children.  
  The funeral will be held Sunday leaving the home at 2 p.m. Services will be 
conducted at the Brethren Church, Pleasant Ridge, of which she had been a 
lifelong member.  Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.
