Cumberland Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, 28 Feb 1938: 
"Lonaconing, Md., Feb. 28-Mrs. Elizabeth Plaskett, 87, widow 
of William Plaskett, died yesterday morning at her home in 
Pekin. A native of Cumberland county, England, Mrs. Plaskett 
came to this country 68 years ago. She first settled in 
Lonaconing and later in Pekin. The surviving children are 
Robert, Pekin; Mrs. A. J. King, Cumberland; Mrs. Thomas Lee, 
Pekin; Miss Elizabeth, at home; Mrs. Isaac Bradburn and Mrs. 
Charles Dahl, Meyersdale; Mrs. George McMurdo, Lonaconing: 
Mrs. Aleck Stevenson, Monessen, Pa., and Mrs. Irvin Hamilton, 
Toledo, Ohio. Twelve grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren also survive."
