EDWARD J. STEIN
Edward J. Stein, 68, of 508 North Centre Street, died last night at his 
residence.
A native of this city, he was a son of the late Edward and Catherine 
(Calderwood) Stein.
Mr. Stein formerly was employed in the brewing department of the Cumberland 
Brewing Company.  He retired in March, 1962, after 33 years of service.
He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, the Brewery Workers Union, and 
Aerie 245, Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving are his widow, Anne J. (Decker) Stein; two sons, Randolph E. Stein, 
Athens, Ohio, and Timothy E. Stein, serving in the Marine Corps in New York; a 
daughter, Mrs. Margaret Rotruck, city; a brother, William L. Stein, 
Springfield, W.Va.; a sister, Mrs. Pauline Hewitt, Baltimore, and eight 
grandchildren.
The body is at the Kight Funeral Home where the family will receive friends 
today and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
