Maryland Journal  April 5, 1890
GREEN - On the 23d of March, 1890, at the residence of her sister, Mrs. Hare, 
Phoenix, Baltimore county, Md., Sarah, wife of John Green and daughter of 
Sarah and the late Wm. Curtis, in the 30th year of her age.

Sister, we lay thee in the silent tomb,
  Sweet blossom of a day;
We just began to view the bloom
  When thou wert called away.

Thou minglest now in that bright throng
  With your little ones before thee gone,
And join the everlasting song
  Around the eternal throne.

Oh! who could wish thee longer stay
  In such a world like this,
Since thou hast gained the realms of endless day,
  A pure and undying bliss.

Farewell, dear sister, a long farewell,
  Until we meet thee in the skies,
With thee and our dear Jesus dwell,
  Where pleasure never dies.
