Yesterday afternoon, the bodies of George Enly and Robert Doyle, two of the persons killed by the explosion of the Medora, were interred in the Methodist burying ground on Light street, Federal Hill, the Rev. Mr. Guest officiating on the occasion. The deep interest excited by the disastrous occurrence which caused their death, was evinced by the presence in Light street of about ten thousand persons, of all ages and both sexes, merely as spectators of the funeral procession, which was itself composed of some two or three thousand persons. The deceased were both members of the Watchman Fire Company, and in addition to their personal friends, immediate relatives and near connexions, they were attended to the grave by thirteen fire companies, GEORGE ENDLEY, reported yesterday as George Enley. He died on Friday morning at 2 o'clock, retaining his mental faculties up to a few minutes before his death. His own account of the explosion was that he was standing on the deck immediately over the boiler, at the time of its occurrence, and was carried up by its force. When consciousness returned he found himself in the wreck by the boiler immersed in scalding water. By his own exertions he extricated himself from this dreadful situation, and was soon afterwards conveyed to a tavern in the neighborhood. Mr. E. was an industrious machinist and had served his apprenticeship with and continued in the employment of Mr. Watchman up to the time of the explosion. He has left a wife and three children.
