Page 165 Written: January 5, 1769 Recorded: May 3, 1773 Caroline County, Maryland Wills 1688-1777, Volume A. page 165 In the name of God Amen the 5th day of January one thousand seven hundred and sixty nine, I William Wilson of the County of Dorchester in the province of Maryland, being in perfect helth both in body and memory thanks be to God, therefor calling into mind the mortality of the body and knowing that it is appointed for all men --- to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say Principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it, and for my body I recommend it to the Earth to be buryed in a decent and Christain like manner at the discreation of my Executor, and Tuching such Worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life, I give and dispose of in manner and form following. Imprimis it is my Will and I do order that in the first place all my Just Debts & funeral charges be paid and satisfied. Item, I give and bequeath unto Mary my dearly beloved wife whom I likewise Constitute make and Ordain my Sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament & all and singular my Land and Tenements during her natural life, and after her decease to my loving Cosen William Wilson, Item, I give and bequeath unto my loving Cosen Mary Ann Wilson Eldest Daughter of my Cosen William Wilson to her & her heirs forever a negro boy called George at the decease of my loving Wife. Item, I give & bequeath unto my loving wife all and singular of moveable effects and Estate whatsoever in any wise to me belonging both to her heirs and assigns forever that hath not already been given. I do hereby disanull revoke and disallow all and every other former Will or Testament, ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year within written.
