Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Five Thousand dollars Current Money by the said John A J Creswell to the said Philip A Ricard in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge said Philip A Ricard hath granted bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien Enfeoff release convey and confirm unto the said John A J Creswell his heirs and assigns. All those certain Tracts pieces or parts of Tracts of Land lying and being in Cecil County aforesaid called “Bel Air” and “Providence” containing Together Two Hundred and forty seven Acres More or less. Which was conveyed to the said Philip A Ricard by One Robert M Walmsley Esq Sheriff of Cecil County aforesaid by his Deed bearing date on the Twenty fifth day of April in the year Eighteen hundred and Fifty five and Recorded in Liber HHM No 5 Folio 63 etc one of the Land Record Books of the County aforesaid. And by George McCullough and Sybilla A his Wife by Deed bearing date the Seventh day of March in the year Eighteen Hundred and Fifty six and to be Recorded among the Land Record Books aforesaid to which said deeds and the several Deeds therein Mentioned, reference is hereby Made for a more full and accurate description of the same. Together with all and singular the buildings, improvements woods ways waters water courses rights members privileges advantages and appurtenances, thereto belonging or in anywise appertaining. And all the Estate right title and interest trust property claim and demand Whatsoever at Law and in Equity of him the said Philip A Ricard of in and to the same, To Have and To Hold the said herein above mentioned premises with the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said John A J Creswell his heirs and assigns forever. In Witness whereof the said Philip A Ricard hath hereunto set his hand and seal, on the day and year first above written. P A Ricard Signed Sealed & delivered in presence of Edmund Brown, Sch State of Maryland Cecil County Sch Be it Remembered and it is hereby certified that on this Twenty first day of March in the Year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty six, before me the subscriber, a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland in and for Cecil County aforesaid personally appears Philip A Ricard he being Known to me of my own personal Knowledge, to be the identical person Who is named and described as and professing to be the party grantor to the forgoing Deed or indenture, and doth acknowledge the said Indenture or instrument of writing to be his act and deed.
