These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. ************************************************************************ In the name of God amen, I George Salsbury Thomas of Charles County in the province of Maryland being sick and weak but of sound mind and memory Thanks be to God therefore calling to mind the uncertainty of this life and that it is appointed for all men once to dye do make and ordain this to be my last will and Testament in the following manner making null and void all other wills by me made heretofor, Frist, and Principally, I recommend my soul unto the hand of almighty God that gave it me and my body to the Earth to be buried in a Decent and christian like manner at the Descretion of my Executor hereafter named and as to what worldly Estate it hath pleased God to bless me with I dispose off in the following manner Viz - Imprimus I will that all my Just Debts and funerall charges be first paid. Item - I give to my son Clement Thomas a part of this tract of Land that I am now Possessing with names Thomases choice lying on the north side of the Spring Branch where he now lives, likewise I give to his Daughter margery one Desk, and no more Item- I give to my son Williamson Thomas the remaining part of my land lying on The South Side of the Spring branch, the Spring Branch to be the Deviding between them like wise forty acres of land named Gunner, I give to my son Williamson Thomas, like wise one feather bed and funiture, & one pot and one case with nine bottles and one heffer brindle big with calf Item - I give to my Daughter Mary Thomas one feather bed and furniture and one horse and saddle and one chist and one pot and one cow and calf and one cubbard Item - I give to my Daughter Sesarilla Thomas two feather beds and furniture and one horse black and one pot and one chist and one ovil table and one white hiffer Item - I give to my Daughter sussanna Thomas two feather beds and furniture and one pot, and two small square tables and one chist and one red white faced heffer Item - I give all the remaining part of my Estate to be Equally divided amongst my children here named Williamson Thomas, Mary Thomas, Sesarilla Thomas and Sussanna Thomas And lastly I constitute and appoint my son Williamson Thomas to be the whole and sole Executor of this my last will and testament, In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and affixed my seal this 22nd day of November 1784.
