This Indenture made this 19 day of September 1811 between Jacob Waters of Frederick County State of Maryland of the one part and Charles Stephens of the other part. Wit: that the said Jacob Waters for and in consideration of the sum of $10 current money to him paid by the said John Stephens . . . release and confirm unto said Charles Stephens one acre of land lying on the south side of Main Street in and adjoining the Town of New Market in the County and State aforesaid, which said property was deeded to the said Jacob Waters by George Creager as Sheriff of Frederick County . . . being made into the said deed . . ..
