Will of James Haddock Waring of Prince Georges Co., dtd. 13 Sept 1746

In the name of God Amen. I, James Haddock Waring of Prince Georges County, being of 
perfect mind and memory do make this my last will and testament in manner and form 
following /viz.

Item. I do give, devise, and bequeath unto my dearly beloved and affectionate wife 
Elizabeth Waring all and singular my real and personal estate to her and to her heirs and 
assigns forever and do make, constitute, ordain and appoint her the said Elizabeth Waring 
whole and sole executrix of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have 
hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this thirteenth day of September Anno Domini 
1746.

Signed, sealed, published, pronounced and declared by the said James Haddock Waring 
the Testator in the presence of us who at the request and in the presence of the said 
Testator and in the presence of each other subscribed our names as witnesses thereto

14th December 1747. The above instrument of writing was ratified and confirmed by the 
above mentioned James Haddock Waring the Testator to be his last will and testament and 
the said James Haddock Waring published .... pronounced and declared the same to be his 
last will and testament in the presence of us who at the request and in the presence of the 
said Testator and in the presence of each other subscribed our names in witnesses thereto

Prince Georges County January 26th, 1750
Came Mary Richards and James Richards two subscribing witnesses in the foregoing will 
being duly and solemnly sworn on the holy evangols of Almighty God depose and say they 
saw the deceased and testator James Haddock Waring sign the foregoing will and heard 
him publish and declare the same to be his last will and testament that at the time of his so 
doing he was to the best of their apprehension of sound and disposing mind and memory 
and that they subscribed to their respective names as witnesses to the said will in the 
presence of the said testator and at his request and that they saw Eliz(abeth) Sadd and the 
other subscribing witnesses subscribe her name to the aforesaid will and that they believe 
she saw and heard the same as they did which oath was taken by the said witnesses in the 
presence of Thomas Waring**, heir at law, which said Thomas Waring did not object to 
the probate of the said will.
