WILL OF JAMES BISCOE In the name of God, Amen. I, James Biscoe of St. Mary's County of Maryland and being sick and weak of body but of sound mind and memory thanks be to God for the same and calling to mind the mortality of my body, do make and ordain this my last will and testament in the manner and form following.__?__, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Ann Biscoe one Negro girl named Elenor and one male mare to the other heirs forever. I leave all the rest of my estate to be equally divided between my four children, Jonathan Biscoe and John Biscoe and William Biscoe and James Biscoe to them and their heirs forever after My beloved wife Ann Biscoe has her third taken out. Lastly I do constitute and appoint my beloved wife to be my executive of this my last well and testament. Heard, William Laker, Norman White (note: on the 5th day of April 1796 Ann Biscoe made oath before Jeremiah Jordan, Clerk of Court in St. Mary's Co. MD to present the last will and testament of James Biscoe , her husband, and swore that it was his will and she had no knowledge of any other. On the same day William Laker and Vernon White appeared before the Register of Wills and swore that the will that Ann presented was the one they had witnessed and signed.
