Republican Star & General Advertizer, Apr 29, 1828, on microfilm at MD State Archives
29 Apr 1828 " departed this life on th 20th inst, at  the residence of her 
son, Benedict Newnam, Mrs. Rebecca Newnam, in the 87th year of her age, after 
a lingering illness, which she endured with Christian resignation. She was a 
member of the Methodist Church 45 years, and her Christian virtues endeared 
her to all her acquaintances." Republican Star and General Advertiser, April
