A List of the Debts Desporate due to the Estate of Leonard Stright late of 
Washington County deceased

			To a Loan Office Certificate for 1600}
			Dollars Continental -----------------------}

Washington County Jst. August 10th 1784.  Came George Young Executor of Leonard 
Stright late of Said County decesd. & made Oath, that the aforegoing is a just 
& true list of Debts desporate which have come to this Knowledge, that he hath 
not received any part thereof and that he will well and truly Charge himself, 
with all and every such Debt or Debts as shall hereafter come to his hands or 
possession ----------------- Certified by Thomas Belt Regt.

Additional Comments:
By legal friends I am told that the word "desporate" in the above means that 
this is a list of debts due to the estate (estate assets) which are not able to 
be collected by the executors - in modern terms, bad debts written off as 
uncollectable.
