Jacob Martz Sr, conveyed a parcel of land called "Fausnacht Mistake" to Jacob 
Jr. The witnesses to this deed were Adam Ott and Robert Douglas (liber P folio 
128) John Peter Martz 2nd conveyed 2 parcels of land called "Phillip Chance, and 
Addition to Phillip Chance" to his brother, Jacob Martz on Mar. 15,1823.

Owned parcels of land called "Resurvey of St. Patrick" and" Mt Aetna" of 61 
acres.(Liber IN 15,folio 585) His widow conveyed them to her children and 
grandchildren. Henry Bowman conveyed a part of Resurvey of St Patrick to a Mr. 
Houser. There was a house on the parcel known as "Houser Meeting House in 
1803(liber F folio 123) The Peter Fahrney Memorial Home is located on this spot.

OBITUARY:
Obituary -The Herald And Torch Light ( 1883 ) September . 06 Mr Jacob Durnbaugh 
who was over 70 years old, died suddenly on Aug 25, from heart disease, while 
ricking straw at Mr. Melchior Nunamakers near Mt.
Pleasant.

Martz, Jan 24,1894 near Keedysville, Jacob Martz aged 80 years. Funeral 
Wednesday.
