Any info appreciated. They lived in late 1600's and early 1700's. Thanks for your time, RESPONSE: I don't know if these references are to your William or not as I cannot find the name attached to a Grace Stout. Maybe she is one of two or three wives and died early without much record left behind??? I could find neither a Grace Merrill, nor a Grace Stout. "HISTORICAL AND GENEALOGICAL MISCELLANY," by John Stillwell, M.D. Vol. I, pg. 25 & 26: "Richmond County Records (New York state)" 1693, Will Merells marke with A flitt In the top of the Left yeare. Dec. 24, 1694, william merells marke (brand) with WM on the neare butock. Vol. II, pg. 52: 'Register of St. Mary's Church, Burlington, NJ' 1712, Margaret, of william Merrail, Bapt. June, 11th. pg. 195: 'The First Town Book of Middletown, NJ' May 15, 1689, william Merrel his Eare marke is a Crap one the Right Eare and one halfe peny one the Under Side of the Same Eare. pg. 205: Dec. 1715, Captain James Hubbard claims the ear mark that was formerly William Merril's. pg. 382 & 392: Jacob Tryax's property for quit rents is bordered on the north by William Merrill. Vol. IV, pg. 334: Ann Stout, dau. of David, son of Jonathan, married Timothy Merrill, or Merrit. Charity Stout, dau. of Zebulon, son of Jonathan & brother to David [above], married Nathaniel Stout, son of David and Ann Merrill Stout. pg. 349: David Stout, son of David Stout, settled at Amwell. He married Ann, daughter of William Merrill pg. 350: John Stout, son of James Stout, married Rachel, daughter of William Merrill, in 1734. Vol. V, pg. 137: Wm. Merrill, 1700, took inventory on P.
