Robert D. Clare, Lutheran pastor of Trinity Church, East Berlin, united in marriage Edwin S. Resser to Miss Clara Spangler. This week that couple celebrated the event with a buffet luncheon served at the home of the Mrs. Resser’s sister, Mrs. Robert H. Anderson, York, at which 52 guests were present. Mrs. Resser is the eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew D. Spangler. Mr. Resser is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Resser, all of East Berlin. The couples have two sons, Harry A. and Luther S., both of Youngstown, O., two grandchildren, Mrs. James A. Shilling and Miss Shirley Resser, and one grandson, Luther Watson Resser, all of Youngstown. A nephew, Edwin C. "Ted" Resser, presented the couple with a basket of 50 yellow roses and 50 chrysanthemums. Other gifts were presented by their sons and other relatives, including an etched gold fruit bowl, which had been in the Spangler family, presented by Mrs. Anderson, the former Miss.
