All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/allegheny/ ________________________________________________ from The Pittsburgh Press dated Tuesday, December 7, 1915: HENRY B FLOCKER DIED AT HOME ON NORTHSIDE Henry B FLOCKER, aged 77, a member of one of the old Allegheny's best known families, died yesterday at his late residence, 282 Howard ave., Northside. He was born in East lane, now Madison ave., Sept 16, 1838, and was the youngest of 13 children. His father, Cornelius FLOCKER, conducted a rope-walk. As a young man, he followed the same trade with his brother John, who founded the present firm of John Flocker & Co., Ltd. Later he was associated for many years with William Swindells & Bros., furnace builders of this city, and at one time carried on a contracting business with his son, Henry H FLOCKER. Five years ago he retired. He is survived by his widow, Mrs Mary FLOCKER (nee SWINDELLS); one son, Henry H FLOCKER, of this city; two daughters, Mrs Henry REICH of Tryon, N C, and Mrs Estella BEACH of this city, and six grandchildren.
