Orlando M. Harper, aged 63, died in Summit, N. Y. Jan. 14. He was a son of John
Harper, for many years president of the Bank of Pittsburg and a brother of John
A. Harper, of Cliff st. He was a well-known business man of this city 23 years
ago. At that time he was presient of the Eagle cotton mills here. He left for
New York, where he was engaged in the cotton commission business. Mr. Harper was
educated in Yale University. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Catherine Ludlow
Harper; two daughters, Mrs. Calhoun Gragin. of Summit, in whose home Mr. Harper
died, and Mrs. Reo Martin.
