HILL died at her home in Fourth street on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, aged 85 years. She had not been sick, and her sudden death caused a shock to her relatives and friends. After eating her breakfast Mrs. HILL went up stars to her room, intending to get ready to attend church services, she complained of a pain in her chest. Medical aid was summoned but death came suddenly. Mrs. HILL was born 85 years ago in Sturgeon, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John STURGEON. Just after the close of the Civil war she was married to Dr. Benjamin HILL, an army surgeon. The couple lived in Candor all their married life. Dr. HILL died ten years ago. Besides her sister, Miss Margaret, another, Miss Josephine STURGEON, also survives. One son and one daughter are living, Dr. John HILL, of Cherry Valley, and Mrs. W. L. ROGERS of Pittsburgh. Mrs. HILL was a life-long member of the Raccoon Presbyterian church at Candor. Funeral services were held at the late home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of the Rev. G. M. KERR, D. D., pastor of the Raccoon Presbyterian church, and interment was in the Raccoon cemetery.
