He was born in Germany. Five months after coming to this country in July, 1864, he enlisted in a regiment of volunteers in Maine, and served in the United States army until some months after the civil war closed, not being mustered out until August, 1865, when he received an honorable discharge. He was a member of G. A, R. Post 157 for more than 20 years. Mr. Laubach was a cabinet maker but had not worked for some time. He leaves a widow, three sons and a daughter. He will be buried tomorrow at 2 o'clock in the Smithfield cemetery.
