All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/allegheny/ ________________________________________________ from The Pittsburgh Press dated Saturday, July 16, 1904 (page 3): Patrick REYNOLDS, age 75, who was one of the early settlers at Brownsville, died of the infirmities of age yesterday at the residence of his son, William P REYNOLDS, 3121 Mary street, South Side, where he had made his home for about five years. He was born in County Lowd, Ireland, but came to this country when 18 years old and settled in Brownsville, where he resided until 10 years ago. For 35 years he was employed by the old Brownsville firm of Snowden & Herbensen, and he enjoyed a wide acquaintance, especially among the river men. Mr REYNOLDS belonged to the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church. Five sons, Thomas N REYNOLDS, a contractor, of Hazelwood; James C REYNOLDS, an expert machinist, of San Francisco; John E REYNOLDS, foreman at the Pressed Steel Car Co.; William F REYNOLDS, foreman of the blacksmith shop of the same concern, survive, together with 26 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The remains will be taken to Brownsville, where the interment will be on Monday. from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records: Patrick REYNOLDS, age 75 years 3 months 27 days, widowed, died July 15, 1904, of enteritis; son of Patrick and Bessie REYNOLDS, both of Ireland; living at 3121 Mary Street; burial in Brownsville PA. Census records note that the wife's name was Elizabeth with children Maria, Thomas, James, John, Cecelia, William, Charles B, and Frank.
