The acid was given the boy by his parents, in mistake for medicine, about 7:30 o'clock in the morning. Almost immediately after swallowing the acid the boy went into convulsions and upon examining the label of the bottle the boy's parents discovered their awful mistake. Ralph, who was in his 7th year, had been ailing for some time and the physicians were unable to counteract the effect of the poison, owing to his delicate condition.
