Their family consisted of eight children: George who married Jane McMahon; Margaret who married John McCormick; Mary who married John Fife; James who married Jane Morrow, a daughter of James Morrow and Sarah Hannah also of St. Clair Township; Robert who married Sarah Moore; Agnes who married James Guthrie; Jane who married John Moore and finally; John who married Tirzah Fife, then Mrs. Maria Robb Hickman and lastly Miss Mary McCabe. The parents, Robert and Agness were both members of the Bethel Presbyterian Church, Bethel Park, Allegheny County PA and are buried in that cemetery. From cemetery markers: Robert Johnston - died 01 Nov 1826, aged 74 years. Agness Johnston - died 24 Aug 1824, aged 79 years.
