McGarey, Police Magistrate of the City of Pittsburgh, by Louis Krieger, father of Gustav Krieger, a minor born Mar. 17, 1884. For the past eight weeks he has been staying from home, will not go to school, will not work. Entirely beyond my control. Reside Sycamore St., 30 Ward, Pittsburgh. Rosa Krieger, mother of Gustav, deposes the same. Additional Comments: Notes made upon the boy's arrival at Pennsylvania Reform School at Morganza: Gustav Krieger, No. 5727, Division C. Parents living Sycamore St., 30th Ward, Pittsburgh, Pa. Father Louis Krieger, a laborer. Sent here for running away from home, disobedience. Description: height 4'9"; weight 74 pounds. Light hair, blue eyes, fair complexion. Deep scar from cut near center of forehead. Two vaccine marks on right arm. Age: 15 on Mar. 17, 1899; received July 29, 1899. Born Penna. of German parentage. Catholic. Father intemperate, mother not intemperate. Parents own no property. 3 younger sisters. Illiterate. Swears, uses tobacco, has been arrested before. Does not lie, steal; is not intemperate.
