WILLIAM S. MOCK

Well known resident of near Osterburg, died at his home there yesterday morning
at 7 o'clock, death being attributed to a heart ailment following an illness of
several weeks. He was employed in the quarry department at the General
Refractories company plant at Sproul. He was the son of Joshua and Margaret
Stambaugh Mock and was born in Bedford county on Nov. 30, 1865. He was united in
marriage on Dec. 18, 1892, with Miss Elizabeth Ickes, who survives with two
daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Auker and Mrs. Fred Kauffman, both of Osterburg,
twenty-one grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Harry
Fickes of Sproul and two brothers, George Mock of Claysburg and Jacob Mock of
Johnstown.
