He was born at Waterside on July 3, 1887, a son of W. K. and Mary Ellen (Miller) Pressel, and on March 9, 1910, in Bedford married Sarah Reighard. Surviving are his wife, five children, William, Mrs. Romaine Markey and Glenn of Loysburg, Ross and Mrs. Grace P. Detwiler of Everett; 11 grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Arvilla Rawson of Juniata; a half- brother, Robert of Hagerstown, and a step-brother, Herbert Johnson of Pitcairn. He was a member and elder emeritus of the Loysburg United Church of Christ, a charter member of the Cove Lions Club, and retired as a gas attendant at the Ashcom plant of the New Enterprise Stone & Lime Company. Friends will be received in the Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. tomorrow.
