H. Meek This Indenture made the second day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and four between Henry Burkholder and Mary E. his wife, of the Township of Logan, County of Blair and state of Pennsylvania parties of the first part and D. H. Meek of Township, County and state aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth, that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of One dollar (and other valuable consideration) dollars (crossed out) lawful money of the United States of America, unto them well and truly paid by the said party of the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said part of the second part his heirs and assigns forever, All that certain lot or parcel of land situated in Logan Township, Blair County Pennsylvania, bounded and described beginning at a point one hundred and twenty (120) feet from Chestnut Street avenue [sic] Alley "C" - thence thirty (300 feet to Bird Eye Alley - thence by Bird Eye Alley fifty (50) feet along line of said alley to point - thence thirty (30) feet on parallel line with said Alley "C" - thence fifty (50) feet to place of beginning. Being the rear portion of Lot No. 111 in Plot of Blair City, as conveyed to Henry Burkholder by deed of John Knoour et ux dated the 29th of September 1883 and recorded in Deed Book Vol 52 page 287. Together with all and singular the described premises improvements, ways, waters, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances, whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part, in law, equity or otherwise howsoever, of, in and to the same and every part thereof, To have and to hold the said described premises hereditaments and premises hereby granted, or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, forever. And Henry Burkholder and Mary E. his wife the said parties of the first part for themselves and their heirs, executors and administrators, do by these presents covenant, grant, and agree, to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that they the said parties of the first part, their heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns against said parties of the first part, and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. Shall and Will Warrant and Forever Defend. In Witness Whereof, the said parties of the first part have to these presents set their hands and seals. Dated the day and year first above written. On the Twenty Ninth day of August anno Domini 1904, before me the undersigned authority came the above named Henry Burkholder and Mary E. his wife and acknowledged the foregoing Indenture to be their act and deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such. The said Mary E. Burkholder being of full age, and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband, and the full contents of the foregoing Indenture being first made known to her, declared that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord, sign, seal, and as her act and deed, deliver the same, without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
