At 5.20 o'clock last evening Mrs. Maria Tennant Anthony, wife of Mr. Koath Anthony, died at her home, 1314 Sixth avenue. Death was caused by consumption, from which she had been suffering since Christmas. She was born in Frostburg, Md., 54 years ago, and was married April 24, 1868. She has been a resident of Altoona for six years. Besides her husband she is survived by four children, Levi, Marion and George, at home, and Percy, of Albuquerque, N.M. The surviving brothers are: James, George and Alexander Tennant, of Frostburg, Md., and the sisters living are : Mrs. Sarah Davis and Mrs. James Hawke, of Frostburg; Mrs. Ellen Coppard, of Akron, O., and Mrs. Agnes Smith, of Allegheny City. The funeral will occur Wednesday at 4 p.m. Services will be conducted at the house and the remains will be interred in Fairview cemetery. Morning Tribune, Tuesday, July 4, 1899
