Miss Grace Bingham, a lady for many years well known in this community, died at her home on Allegheny street on Saturday morning at 9 o'clock. She had been ill but a few days. On Monday last she was in the enjoyment of perfect health, but during that night became ill, suffering terrible pains in the stomach and bowels, which continued with but little intermission up to the moment of her death. Miss Bingham was a daughter of the late James Bingham and a half sister of Congressman H. H. Bingham, of Philadelphia, and came to Hollidaysburg with her father's family in the year 1857, when a young girl, and has resided here ever since. She was of an affectionate disposition, kind and considerate in her actions and was esteemed by her friends and neighbors. She was a consistent Christian and was from girlhood a member of the Presbyterian church, with which she united on confession of faith at the tender age of 15 years. The funeral services will be held at her late residence this morning at 9.30, after which the remains will be taken to Philadelphia on day express for interment.
