All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ JERRY BLACK, Who died Tuesday afternoon [14 January 1913] at his home near Claysburg, of Bright's disease, was born May 1, 1845, near Claysburg on a farm, where he resided until the death summons came. He was a member of the Lutheran church at Claysburg. Surviving are his wife, seven sons and two daughters. The children are: William of Eldorado, John, Amos, Chauncey, Charley, Ray, Chester, Martha and Mrs. John Boyer, all of Claysburg. He is also survived by one brother and two sisters: Adam Black, Miss Eve Black and Mrs. Calvin Walker, all of Claysburg. The funeral services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. N. H. Fleck of Newry, at the Lutheran church at Claysburg this morning at 10:30. The remains were interred in the cemetery adjoining the church. Altoona Mirror, Thursday, January 16, 1913, page 12, column 1
