WALTER J. BLOOM

Of 104 East Fourth avenue, died in the Altoona hospital at 9 o'clock 
yesterday morning after a brief illness.  Mr. Bloom was born July 25, 1904, 
in Altoona, the son of James W. and Alverdia (Spencer) Bloom.  He was a well 
known clerk in the Altoona car shops and a member of the Third Evangelical 
United Brethren church.  Surviving are his mother, two brothers and one 
sister, Edgar M. and Mrs. Helen Pentland of the city and Thomas, at home, and 
several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received at the N. A. Stevens 
mortuary.
