BOBLITS

  Mrs. Elizabeth J. Boblits died on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at 
the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Leader, 923 Third avenue.  Mrs. 
Boblits was in good health up until Friday evening when she was taken 
ill.  She was the widow of Samuel K. Boblits and was born April 18, 
1834, at East Waterford, Juniata county, and has resided in this city 
for over half a century.  Another daughter, Mrs. Clara S. Herr, widow 
of the late Contractor W. H. Herr, also survives.  Mrs. Boblits was a 
charter member of the Eighth Avenue Methodist church.
