Word was sent to the TRIBUNE office late last night that a lady had died suddenly of heart disease, having been taken sick while going across the Ninth street crossing. No further particulars were obtained. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Saturday, March 5, 1880 A Sudden Death. The woman who was mentioned in Saturday's TRIBUNE as having died so suddenly the night before was Mrs. Elizabeth Bouser, a colored woman who lived with her sister, Mrs. Lynch, on Ninth avenue near Ninth street. She was a native of Baltimore and had been in delicate health for some time past. On her way home from the Central Hotel, where she worked, she was taken sick. She stopped in at Mrs. Burley's and everything was done for her that was possible. She started home after a little but fell in the street before [she] arrived there, and died about an hour afterward of congestion of the lungs. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Monday, March 8, 1880
