Brallier, of Strayer street, Dale Borough, this morning received word of the death of his brother, Daniel S. Brallier, which occurred in Altoona shortly after 5 o'clock this morning, due to pneumonia. Several days ago the deceased attended the funeral of an Altoona man and contracted a severe cold, the weather being very disagreeable. A few days later he took [to] his bed, and died at the hour mentioned. L. R. Brallier and other relatives visited the sick man yesterday, when he was apparently some better. Daniel S. Brallier was one of a family of twelve children, and was the tenth to die, the brother mentioned above and a sister, Mrs. Robert Ferguson, of Ebensburg, being the only members of the family who survive, the parents having died a number of years ago. Deceased was born near Morrison's Cove, Bedford County, about seventy-five years ago, and with his parents moved to Altoona in his boyhood. About fifty-one years ago he was married to Miss Susan Orner at her parents' home near Strongstown, Indiana County, who, with the following children, survive: Sarah, wife of John Wareham, of Pittsburg; Hannah, at home; Pearl, wife of William Kauffman, of Altoona; Charles, assistant foreman in the Altoona shops; William, of Altoona; Jesse, an employee in the Altoona Postoffice, and Harry Edwin, of Lancaster. These are dead: Serella, Abigail, and George. Deceased had been a carpenter in the Altoona shops and for many years pastor of the German Baptist Church in Altoona. Funeral services will probably be held on Saturday. Tribune, Johnstown, Pa., Thursday, December 7, 1905, p. 6
