GEORGE BRIGGS

  Sinking Valley will place its first gold star for George Briggs, son of Mrs. 
J. H. Briggs, word of whose falling in battle was received by his mother last 
evening.  As in the case of Warren Stiver, the storm had put the wires out of 
business and details could not be obtained.
