GEORGE C. H. BUDDE

Formerly of 2716 Broad avenue, died at 5.34 o'clock yesterday afternoon after 
an extended illness.  For a number of years he was engaged in the grocery 
business in association with a brother, Henry, who died Dec. 17, 1943.  Mr. 
Budde was born in Stift, Quernheim, Germany, Feb. 25, 1871, a son of Emil and 
Christina (Deitrich) Budde, and came to this country as a youth.  He was of 
the Lutheran faith.  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Verna (Nicodemus) Budde, 
and a niece, Mrs. Marian Steiner of the city.  Friends will be received at 
the Laughlin funeral home after 7 o'clock tomorrow evening.
