Courtney Died yesterday morning at 1:30 o'clock after an illness of two weeks with pneumonia. He was born in Pierpont, N.Y., and was aged 45 years and 2 months. He served in the late war and had been a resident of Altoona seventeen years, being employed as a painter in the railroad company's car shops. Mr. Courtney was a genial companion, a good friend and a devoted husband and father. His death will be sincerely regretted by his former shopmates as well as by all his acquaintances. He leaves a wife and three children, Louise, Hildegarde and Frank, and two step-children, Louis P. and Nora McCormick. The funeral will proceed from the residence, 119? Seventeenth avenue, at 8:30 o'clock tomorrow morning, to St. John's Catholic church, where requiem mass will be celebrated. Interment in St. John's cemetery.
