DIEHL 87, of Box 151, Knob Run, Duncansville RD 2, died at 10:50 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 1980, in Altoona VA Medical Center, where he was admitted Feb. 27, after an extended illness. Mr. Diehl retired as a farmer and carpenter in 1958. He was born Dec. 11, 1892, in Juniata Township, the son of Aaron and Jane (Moyer) Diehl. Surviving are two brothers, James V. and Leo T. of Duncansville RD 2, and 40 nieces and nephews. Mr. Diehl was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Newry; Holy Name Society and Knights of St. George, Hollidaysburg. He was an Army veteran of World War I, having served in Europe. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Haller Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg. DIEHL - The funeral of Michael A. Diehl of Box 151, Knob Run, Duncansville RD 2, will be held with a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Newry, by the Rev. Julian Benson. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Newry. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Haller Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg.
