DIXON A native of Mines, near Williamsburg, died at 8.45 o'clock last evening of a heart ailment in San Diego, Calif., where he was engaged in the insurance business. He was born July 27, 1899, a son of John and Bessie (White) Dixon, and was a graduate of Altoona High school and the Zeth Business college. Locally he was a member of Juniata lodge, Hollidaysburg, F. and A. M., the Knights Templar in Altoona, and a member of the Baptist church. Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: J. Lloyd Dixon, in California, Mrs. Grace Ferry of Loysburg, Mrs. Jane Oates of Charleston, W.Va., and Bruce W. of Pittsburgh. The body is being flown east and friends will be received at the Bechtel funeral home, Williamsburg, after 7 o'clock Saturday evening. Altoona Mirror, June 5, 1952
