Dutrow died yesterday morning at the home of his son William A. Dutrow, South Lakemont, at the advanced age of 92 years. Death was caused by a complication of diseases incident to old age. Mrs. [sic] Dutrow was born in Middletown Valley, Md., and came to Altoona in 1872 and has been a resident of this vicinity ever since. He was a carpenter and in following his trade helped to construct some of the oldest dwellings and other buildings in this city. His wife died in 1900 and two sons survive, William at whose home he died, and Jonah C. Dutrow of Altoona. Eleven grandchildren and eighteen great- grandchildren also survive. The deceased saw service in the Civil war. He was a member of Company F, First regiment of the Potomac Home brigade, a Maryland military organization. He was one of the charter members of the Fourth Lutheran church and belonged to the Knights of the Mystic Chair. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon, the cortege leaving the house at 2 o'clock. Services will be held at the Fourth Lutheran church at 2.30 and interment will be made in Fairview cemetery.
