JOHN D. ECKERT

  John D. Eckert died from pneumonia at his home, in Hollidaysburg, 
Blair county, Sunday morning, at the age of 44 years. 
  He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Eckert, of Hanover, and moved 
from Gettysburg to Hollidaysburg 22 years ago.  He is survived by his
wife, whose maiden name was Miss Sue Frank, of Hollidaysburg; three
sons and two daughters; also by his father and mother, who reside in
Hanover, three brothers and three sisters - Mrs. Augustus Culp, living
in Orlando, Florida; Harry Eckert and Mrs. Emory Rummel, of
Gettysburg; Mrs. Jacob Weikert, of Fairfield; Jacob Eckert, of
Chambersburg, and H. H. Eckert, of York street, Hanover. 
  The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon, interment having been 
made in the Hollidaysburg cemetery.
