Garland, residing on West Allegheny street, Hollidaysburg, died yesterday forenoon at 11.40 o'clock at her home. She had been ill for the past week with an attack of the grip but her condition was not considered alarming and this forenoon her heart became affected and death ensued. The deceased was the daughter of Hiram and Rebecca Sellers and was born at Cumberland, Md., forty-six years ago. She was married to Mr. Garland in 1901 at Cumberland. She was a member of the Methodist church and was prominently identified with church work. Besides her husband and parents she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. George Deetz, Miss Ida Sellers, William, George and Charles Sellers, all of Cumberland. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday Morning, April 16, 1918 HOLLIDAYSBURG The funeral services of the late Mrs. Charles Garland will be held at the late home on West Allegheny street on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The body will be removed to the home of Mrs. Dr. Humes for convenience. The funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Harter, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church.
